This year's edition of the Gala by ARIR 2025 brought into the spotlight 15 listed companies and professionals involved in investor relations, recognized for their excellence in communication and transparency.
According to a press release sent to AGERPRES, this year's edition was attended by over 100 capital market professionals, specialists, leaders of listed companies and representatives of state institutions.
"The awards included 11 categories, to reflect the diversity and dynamism of the market, from large and medium-sized companies, as well as issuers from the AeRO Market. The companies were evaluated using two methodologies: through a platform dedicated to internationally active institutional investors Extel, as well as by a jury of 11 capital market experts, supplemented by the vote of institutional investors carried out through the Extel platform. The awards are granted based on the activity carried out in 2024," the press release reads.
The Gala by ARIR 2025 awards, Extel survey among institutional investors, in the Best IR Program category, went to: Banca Transilvania; OMV Petrom; Sphera Franchise Group; Hidroelectrica; BRD Groupe Societe Generale; Romgaz; Transgaz.
In the Best CEO category, the following were awarded: Christina Verchere, OMV Petrom; Omer Tetik, Banca Transilvania; Karoly Borbely, Hidroelectrica; Razvan Popescu, Romgaz.
In the Best CFO category, the awards went to: Alina Popa, OMV Petrom; George Calinescu, Banca Transilvania; Valentin Budes, Sphera Franchise Group; Marian Fetita, Hidroelectrica.
In the Best IRO category, the following were awarded: Adriana Marin, OMV Petrom; Aurel Bernat and Diana Mazurchievici, Banca Transilvania; Zuzanna Kurek, Sphera Franchise Group.
The winners of the Gala by ARIR 2025, as voted by the jury, were, in the Best Annual Report category: Large Cap - Banca Transilvania; Small/Mid Cap - TeraPlast.
In the Best ESG Performance & Communication category, the following were designated: Large Cap - Banca Transilvania; Small/Mid Cap - Antibiotics; AQUILA; Sphera Franchise Group; Rompetrol.
ARIR Special Recognition for Consistency in IR was awarded to Farmaceutica Remedia.
"For 54 years, Extel (formerly Institutional Investor Research) has been conducting highly regarded independent research that assesses quality in key markets and among stakeholder groups. For the investor relations (IR) industry, Extel conducts independent research with global investment and sell-side professionals that evaluate CEOs, CFOs, IROs and IR programs based on over 20 performance indicators," the press release reads.
ARIR is the promoter of the Investor Relations (IR) concept in Romania and claims that by adhering to standards of transparency, corporate governance and proactivity in communicating with investors, our members will benefit from added value, attract financing more easily, have the reputation and trust necessary for the continuous development of their businesses.
ARIR was established at the initiative of Daniela Maior (Serban) in November 2018 together with the founding members: Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), ALRO, Franklin Templeton Management - Bucharest, Hidroelectrica, Nuclearelectrica, Teraplast, Transelectrica and Tony Romani.
