211 new cases of SARS-CoV-2 infections, 2 deaths, 10-16 November

A total of 211 new cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection were recorded between 10 and 16 November, decreasing by 18.5% compared with the previous week, the National Institute of Public Health (INSP) reported on Tuesday.

According to the INSP, 65 of the new cases from the past week are reinfections, with patients testing positive more than 90 days after their first infection or a previous reinfection.

Two deaths were reported among people with COVID-19 who had underlying health conditions, the INSP informed.

During the same period, 456 RT-PCR tests and 6,919 rapid antigen tests were performed.

The positivity rate was 2.9%, declining by 0.5% compared with the previous week.
