A total of 259 new cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection were recorded between 3 and 9 November, a decrease of 35.3% compared with the previous week, the National Institute of Public Health (INSP) reported on Tuesday.
According to the INSP, 72 of the new cases from the past week are reinfections, with patients testing positive more than 90 days after their first infection or a previous reinfection.
Two deaths were reported among people with COVID-19 who had underlying health conditions, the INSP indicated.
During the same period, 334 RT-PCR tests and 7,284 rapid antigen tests were performed.
The positivity rate was 3.4%, down by 1.8% compared with the previous week.
