A total of 413,752 people were benefiting, in November 2024, from pensions and allowances provided by special laws, 1,967 fewer than the previous month, according to data compiled by the National House of Public Pensions (CNPP), inform agerpres.ro.
The largest number of people, namely 190,485, were beneficiaries of allowances under Law No. 118/1990 - regarding the granting of rights to persons persecuted for political reasons by the dictatorship established as of March 6, 1945, as well as those deported abroad or constituted as prisoners, with subsequent amendments and additions. The average allowance stood at 1,532 lei.
A total of 14,513 people were receiving an average allowance of 932 lei, according to Law No. 49/1991 and Law No. 44/1994 - concerning war veterans, as well as certain rights of war invalids and widows, and 64,348 people were beneficiaries of allowances under Law No. 189/2000 - approving Government Ordinance No. 105/1999 for the modification and addition of Decree-Law No. 118/1990 on granting rights to persons persecuted for political reasons by the dictatorship established as of March 6, 1945, as well as those deported abroad or constituted as prisoners, republished, with subsequent amendments. The average sum paid was 870 lei.
Regarding the beneficiaries of allowances under Law No. 309/2002 - recognising and granting rights to persons who performed military service within the Directorate General of the Labour Service between 1950 and 1961, there were 42,810 such beneficiaries, with an average payment of 82 lei.
Beneficiaries of allowances under Law No. 341/2004 - in recognition of the heroes-martyrs and fighters who contributed to the victory of the Romanian Revolution of December 1989 numbered 12,643, receiving an average amount of 2,170 lei.
Additionally, in September 2024, 554 beneficiaries were registered under Law No. 109/2005 - Artists, with an average allowance of 345 lei, 13,944 beneficiaries under Law No. 8/2006 - Creative Unions, with an average allowance of 1,917 lei, and 74,455 beneficiaries under Law No. 578/2004 - Surviving Spouse, with an average allowance of 128 lei.
