The National Institute of Public Health (INSP) reported that, between February 17 and 23, 92 new cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection were recorded, a decrease of 9.8% compared to the previous week.
According to INSP, 21 of the new cases are reinfections, where patients tested positive more than 90 days after their first infection.
Between February 17 and 23, no deaths were reported among individuals infected with SARS-CoV-2.
To date, 69,253 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died in Romania.
In Romania, a total of 3,582,939 cases of COVID-19 have been recorded so far.
In the past week, 834 RT-PCR tests and 14,400 rapid antigen tests were performed. The positivity rate was 0.6%.
As of now, a total of 14,044,181 RT-PCR tests and 15,260,580 rapid antigen tests have been processed nationwide.
