Acting President Ilie Bolojan paid a visit on Wednesday to the hospital built by the "Daruieste Viata"[Give Life] Association, which provides medical care for children with serious illnesses, the Presidential Administration reported on Facebook.
"On the occasion of the one-year anniversary of the hospital's official opening, the president was accompanied by the 'Give Life' team on a tour of the medical facility and discussed the significance of this project for the Romanian healthcare system, as well as the continued development of the Pediatric Medical Campus," the cited source said.
According to the Presidential Administration, "this initiative, supported by hundreds of thousands of citizens and thousands of companies, represents an example of good practices that could be expanded, so that all children in Romania have access to the best quality treatments, here, at home".
The hospital built by the "Daruieste Viata" Association, with the support of over 350,000 donors and 8,000 companies, began operating and took over children hospitalized in the oncology, neurosurgery, surgery and ICU wards in the old building of the Marie Curie hospital in April last year.
