A total of 160 projects are competing this year in the third edition of the AHK Awards - Die Besten, a competition recognising excellence, innovation and strategic impact among companies with Romanian or German capital operating in Romania, the Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Romania) announced in a press release sent to AGERPRES on Friday.

The competition ran from July to November 2025, and the projects will be evaluated in 2026 by an independent and prestigious jury made up of leading figures with expertise in industry, economics, energy, education, public administration and civil society.

Following the deliberations, awards will be given to companies implementing projects with measurable results and a tangible contribution to Romania's economic, social and sustainable development.

According to the cited source, the submitted projects are either ongoing or were implemented within the past two years and show clear, demonstrable outcomes. The winners will be announced at the AHK Romania New Year's Reception on 29 January 2026 at the Palace of Parliament.

The 2022 edition drew 60 submissions, rising to more than 140 in 2024.

AHK Romania, the official representative of German business, was established in 2002 and currently has more than 670 member companies. Since 1 January 2020, AHK Romania has also hosted a Competence Centre for the Republic of Moldova, aimed at strengthening business relations between companies in Romania, the Republic of Moldova and Germany.
