The Alba Iulia City Hall will participate, for the first time in the last six years, in an international tourism fair, which will take place next week in Hungary, where it is estimated that over 30,000 visitors will be present, the local administration announced on Tuesday.
"Between February 20 and 23, Alba Iulia will participate in the TRAVEL+ 2025 International Tourism Fair at Hungexpo, Budapest. We are relaunching the invitation to HoReCa representatives to join us and promote their products and services for free. We are confident that we will make a great impression with the local hotels, guesthouses, and restaurants from Alba Iulia, which wish to promote themselves," wrote the representatives of the local administration on their Facebook page on Tuesday.
According to them, over 30,000 visitors are expected to attend the fair over the four days.
This is the first participation of this kind abroad in recent years, with previous participations taking place before the pandemic at tourism fairs in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland.
