PSD, PNL, UDMR, and USR parties agreed this weekend on the ministers who will be part of the Bolojan government. Alexandru Rogobete is PSD's pick for Health minister.
A graduate of the Faculty of Chemistry, Biology, and Geography at the West University of Timisoara (2009 - 2013), he then pursued a master's degree in chemistry (2012 - 2015) at the same higher education institution.
He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Victor Babes University of Medicine and Pharmacy (2012 - 2019) and completed a master's degree in Social and Health Services Management at Victor Babes University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timisoara.
He obtained a PhD in medicine from the Faculty of Medicine at the Victor Babes University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timisoara (2016-2024).
Between 2020 and 2021, he attended training courses for European Fund Access Expert and Public Procurement Expert as part of training sessions organised by Euro Best Team, according to https://www.cdep.ro/.
He worked at GE HealthCare LCS East Europe as a clinical intern (Jan. 2016 - Feb. 2019) and as a clinical education specialist (Feb. - Dec. 2019).
He was a resident physician in Anesthesia and Intensive Care at the "Pius Brinzeu" County Emergency Clinical Hospital in Timisoara (Dec. 2019-2021).
He was an advisor to the Secretary of State (July - Dec. 2020), advisor to the minister (Dec. 2021-Feb. 2023), and Secretary of State (Feb. 2023 - Dec. 2024) at the Ministry of Health.
Since August 2020, he has been an assistant professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the Victor Babes University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
He was elected deputy in the December 2024 parliamentary election on the Social Democratic Party list in constituency no. 31 Prahova. He is the chairman of the Health and Family Committee in the Chamber of Deputies.
He is a member of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with the United Arab Emirates and vice-chairman of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Georgia and the Parliamentary Friendship Group with the Kingdom of Belgium.
Alexandru Rogobete is a member of: the Romanian Society of Anesthesia and Intensive Care (SRATI); the European Respiratory Society (ERS); the American Society of Anesthesia (ASA).
