Romanian tennis player Ana Bogdan, world's 98th on Tuesday qualified for the second round of the WTA 250 tournament in Budapest, equipped with total prizes worth 235,238 US dollars, after defeating American Varvara Lepchenko (WTA's 155) in two sets, 6-4, 7-5.
The Romanian player is seed no. 5 at this tournament and she is going to meet Ukrainian player Katerina Kozlova (WTA's 154) in the next round. Bogdan will receive 3,675 euros and 30 WTA points for reaching this far in the competition.
