The Government will approve at Thursday's meeting, by decision, the National Strategy on state reserves for the 2026-2030 period.
The Executive will also approve a draft emergency ordinance to amend certain normative acts in the area of social assistance and to establish social protection measures for pensioners.
A draft law will also be approved for the amendment and supplementation of Emergency Ordinance No 32/2012 on undertakings for collective investment in transferable securities and investment management companies, as well as for the amendment and supplementation of Law No 297/2004 on the capital market, for the amendment and supplementation of Law No 74/2015 on alternative investment fund managers, and for the amendment and supplementation of Law No 243/2019 on the regulation of alternative investment funds and for the amendment and supplementation of certain normative acts.
By decision, the Government will approve the areas and accredited university master's programmes, as well as the maximum number of students who may be enrolled in the 2026-2027 academic year.
Another draft decision regards the update of the monthly rent tariff (lei/sq m) applied to spaces intended for housing belonging to the public or private domain of the state or of administrative-territorial units, as well as to service dwellings, intervention dwellings and hostels for employees of companies regulated by Law No 31/1990, republished, with subsequent amendments and additions, of national companies and corporations and of autonomous administrations, and for the courtyards and gardens related to the residential areas.
Also by decision, the Executive will amend Government Decision No 237/2022 on the organisation and functioning of the Romanian Customs Authority and amend point 1 of letter C within Annex No 1 to Government Decision No 791/2009 on the conditions for the certification of civil international airports or airports open to international air traffic.
The Executive will also approve a memorandum on an Agreement in principle regarding the contracting of reimbursable financial assistance from the European Investment Bank (EIB) to increase the efficiency of land improvement infrastructure.
Another memorandum concerns the adoption of urgent measures to ensure the continuity of conservation stage activities at uranium mining sites.
Through another memorandum, the extension will be approved, for a new period of six months, from 15 April 2026 to 15 October 2026, of the validity of the Agreement between the Government of Romania and the Government of the Republic of Moldova on coordinated control on Romania's territory at the Albita (Romania) - Leuseni (Republic of Moldova) road border crossing point, on the entry direction into Romania, signed on 9 February 2023 in Albita.
Within the meeting, a series of briefings will also be presented regarding issues encountered in the implementation of commitments under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) by line ministries.
