The Romanian-Dutch pair Anca Todoni/Arantxa Rus qualified on Wednesday for the semi-finals of the doubles event at the WTA 125 tennis tournament in Montreux (Switzerland), which offers total prize money of 115,000 US dollars, after defeating the duo of Dominika Salkova (Czech Republic)/Kathinka von Deichmann (Liechtenstein) with a score of 4-6, 6-1, 13-11.
Todoni and Rus secured victory after one hour and 19 minutes of play.
The Romanian-Dutch pair secured a cheque of 2,600 US dollars and 49 WTA doubles points.
In the semi-finals, Todoni and Rus will play against the pair Anouk Koevermans (Netherlands)/Valentina Ryser (Switzerland).
Todoni will also play in the singles round of 16 against Russian player Daria Astakhova.
