The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) on Monday issued an Code Yellow alert of unstable atmosphere and rainfalls, for 34 counties and the Bucharest Municipality, until 11.00 pm.
According to the forecast, on Monday, between 12.00 am-11.00 pm, the southern, eastern and central regions of the country will face an unstable atmosphere.
There will also be rainfalls, heavy rainfalls, electric discharges, strong winds, storms and hail. The water quantities will locally exceed 20-25 l/sq m, and sometimes even 40/50 l/sq m.
The counties under the Code Yellow alert are: Botosani, Iasi, Vaslui, Galati, Braila, Ialomita, Calarasi, Giurgiu, Buzau, Vrancea, Bacau, Neamt, Suceava, Harghita, Covasna, Brasov, Prahova, Dambovita, Arges, Teleorman, Olt, Valcea, Gorj, Dolj, Mehedinti, Caras-Severin, Hunedoara, Alba, Sibiu, Bucuresti, Ilfov, and partly in Maramures, Bistrita-Nasaud, Mures and Cluj.
Moreover, between June 10, 10.00 am and June 11, 11.00 pm, there will be in force a bad weather warning in most regions. Unstable atmosphere will be temporary accentuated in most country regions. There will be periods when they were signal heavy rainfalls, electrical discharges, strong winds, storms and hail.
For short period of times, the water quantities will will locally exceed 15-25 l/sq m, and sometimes, on small areas, even 35/40 l/sq m. These phenomena will be more frequent during the afternoons and evenings.
ANM specifies that, depending on the evolution and intensity of the meteorological phenomena, it will update the alert and advisory issued on Monday.
