The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) issued several nowcasting Code Yellow warnings for dense fog on Monday morning, valid for areas and localities in 20 counties, including Bucharest.
According to meteorologists, until 10:00, fog and reduced visibility below 200 metres, locally below 50 metres, will affect localities in Covasna and Harghita counties.
Moreover, until 9:00, dozens of localities in the counties of Ialomita, Constanta, Prahova, Giurgiu, Teleorman, Dambovita, Gorj, Olt, Dolj, Valcea, Mehedinti, Bacau, Suceava, Galati, Vrancea, Vaslui, Calarasi, Ilfov and Bucharest will be affected by similar phenomena.
In the mountain area of Cluj county, at an altitude of over 1,800 metres, wind gusts of 90-120 km/h will be reported until 12:00. In this area, meteorologists have issued a Code Yellow warning for strong winds.
Immediate warnings for dangerous phenomena are issued for a period of up to 6 hours.
