The unemployment rate registered at national level, at the end of June, was 3.16%, lower than that of the previous month by 0.03 pp, and the total number of unemployed was 252,146 people, informs the National Employment Agency (ANOFM), in a press release sent to AGERPRES on Friday.
Of the total number of registered unemployed, 50,533 were unemployed with benefits and 201,613 were unemployed without benefits. The number of unemployed with benefits decreased by 1,030 people, and the number of unemployed without benefits decreased by 1,418 people compared to the previous month.
By area of residence, the number of unemployed people at the end of June is as follows: 65,107 unemployed people come from urban areas and 187,039 unemployed people come from rural areas.
The number of unemployed women on June 30 was 117,416 people, while the number of unemployed men was 134,730 people.
Most unemployed people were between 40-49 years old (64,143), followed by those over 55 years old (61,179), at the opposite end were people between 25-29 years old (14,158).
Regarding the structure of unemployment by level of education, the unemployed without education and those with primary education had a significant share in the total number of unemployed registered in the records of the ANOFM (31.95%). The unemployed with a secondary education level represented 34.56% of the total number of registered unemployed, and those with university education 4.36%.
