The National Veterinary Sanitary and Food Safety Authority (ANSVSA) introduces temporary exemptions regarding the compliance with certain conditions for the entry of pets from Israel into the territory of Romania.

"Given the exceptional conditions generated by the situation in Israel and in order to prevent possible difficulties related to the arrival of refugees accompanied by pets, we inform you that, in accordance with Article 32 of Regulation (EU) No. 576/2013 on the derogation from the standard conditions applicable to the non-commercial movement of pet animals, Romania authorizes the non-commercial movement of pet animals on its territory as follows: animals that meet the conditions for entry into the EU (identified, vaccinated, with/or without antibody titer) will be allowed entry; for animals that are not properly identified with a microchip/tattoo or are not vaccinated against rabies or the vaccination is no longer valid, the responsible person will complete the Pet Location Form", a press release from ANSVSA mentions, agerpres reports.

According to the cited source, the form can be downloaded from the ANSVSA website.

Animal owners/persons authorized on behalf of the owner who come from the conflict zone can complete the Permit Form on Romanian territory at Border Control Posts/Traveler Entry Points together with official veterinarians from the PCF/PIC or by accessing the link on the ANSVSA website or QR code for access.

"We would like to point out that the Notification Form upon entry from Israel is available in Romanian/English," the cited source emphasizes.
