The Agricultural Payments and Intervention Agency (APIA) has authorized the payment, between December 2, 2024 and February 14, 2025, of a total amount of 579.968 million euros, for the 2024 Application Year, for a number of 669,208 farmers.
According to a press release from the institution, sent to AGERPRES on Friday, the number of farmers for whom payments were made represents 94.01% of the total eligible applicants.
For the final payment for the 2024 Campaign, APIA has paid, since December 2, 2024 and up to now, from the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGF), the total amount of 442.811 million euros (2.203 billion RON), for 666,836 beneficiaries.
In the 2024 Campaign, payments from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and the National Budget (NB) for Rural Development (RD) interventions are made by the Agency for Financing Rural Investments (AFIR).
Payments for interventions financed from the EAGF are made in RON, at the exchange rate of 4.9753 RON/euro, and payments for measures financed from the EAFRD at the exchange rate of 4.9756 RON/euro.
APIA mentions that, in the Advance Payment Campaign for payment applications submitted in 2024, payments from EAGF, EAFRD and BN worth 1.283 billion euros (6.384 billion RON) were made.
