Spokesman of the Alliance for the Unity of Romanians (AUR) Stefanita Avramescu said the Constitutional Court's ruling on officials' asset declarations reflects a "double standard" on integrity.

He noted that the next step depends on the president - whether he sends the law back for re-examination or proceeds with the CCR's observations. Avramescu argued that both the president and the Save Romania Union (USR) support integrity "only until it concerns them," and reiterated that AUR has consistently demanded full transparency. He added that AUR MPs file their asset and interest declarations on time, as required by law.

Avramescu said that in the case of lawmakers, releasing such declarations depends on each chamber's internal decision, and that AUR may display them on other platforms if necessary. If the law returns to Parliament, he said the party will maintain its principle of "as much transparency as possible."

On government formation, AUR MP Mohammad Murad reaffirmed that the party will vote for no Cabinet it is not part of. He said a future government must present its first 30-day measures upfront, stressing that "government is a means, not a goal." Murad added that AUR "will vote only a government it is part of," and that his parliamentary mandate belongs to the party, not to him personally. AGERPRES
