The Central Electoral Bureau (BEC) announced that accredited pollsters do not have access inside the polling stations, but only in the building where the polling stations are organized, including the corridors.

"Taking into account some information received by the Central Electoral Bureau for the 2024 elections for members of the European Parliament from Romania and for local government authorities in 2024, BEC adopted a directive at its meeting on 9 June, stating that accredited pollsters have access, on the basis of the accreditation of the institution for which they work, in the building where the polling station is organized (including the corridors of educational establishments where polling stations are organized), without having access inside the room where the polling station is organized," a BEC press release said on Sunday.

BEC has accredited several institutes to carry out exit polls at national level for the June 9 elections.

BEC has sent a directive to the territories listing the opinion polling institutes and/or companies or non-governmental organisations accredited for Sunday's elections.

At the national level, the Centre for Urban and Regional Sociology CURS, Avangarde Socio-Behavioural Studies Group, Sodiso Research SRL, Megatronic World Productions SRL and Arhetip Development SRL will carry out exit polls.
