The National Bank of Romania is launching into the numismatic circuit, starting with December 1, 2025, a special set consisting of four banknotes with a nominal value of 20 RON, according to a press release from the bank.
The special sheets each contain four banknotes with a face value of 20 RON. The banknotes are serialized consecutively and have the same technical specifications as the circulation banknotes with a face value of 20 RON.
The special sheets, each consisting of four banknotes with a face value of 20 RON, are placed in personalized presentation envelopes and are accompanied by certificates of authenticity written in Romanian, English and French. The certificates of authenticity bear the signatures of the BNR governor and the central cashier, as well as the series of the banknotes.
The maximum circulation for the special sheets, each consisting of four banknotes with a nominal value of 20 RON, is 30,000 copies. The selling price for these sheets is 120.00 RON, excluding VAT, including the certificate of authenticity.
The launch of the special sheets into the numismatic circuit, each consisting of four banknotes with a nominal value of 20 RON, is carried out through the regional branches of the National Bank of Romania in Bucharest, Cluj, Constanta, Dolj, Iasi and Timis.
