Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan stated on Friday that after November 28, it will be possible to discuss possible responsibilities in the event that Romania finds itself in the situation of losing over 800 million euros in the event of failure to meet the milestones in the PNRR related to magistrates' pensions, the appointments of the management of state-owned energy companies and the finalization of the operationalization of the Agency for Monitoring and Evaluation of Public Enterprises' Performance - AMEPIP.

He was asked in a press conference who will settle the eventual loss of 230 million euros from the PNRR for the failure to meet the milestone related to appointments in Energy companies by the November 28 deadline, given that no management has been appointed at AMEPIP either.

"I hope that on the 28th and in the following days we will meet almost all the criteria, so as to avoid the disengagement of European money. In total, the three milestones have a value of over 800 million euros, which, of course, we should recover, so that they are included in the Romanian investment market, but I hope we do not end up in this situation. Let's see what the developments are until that date. These milestones have their problems, in the sense that one thing is for things to depend exclusively on the Government and another is to depend on other third parties, lawsuits, appeals, courts, the Constitutional Court and so on, things that, as you see, you cannot always control. It's not an excuse, so that we understand very well what I'm saying now, but it's one thing to have some deadlines whose fulfillment is exclusively up to you and another to have them depend on a certain context. But it's true that, if all these procedures had been started immediately after we received these notifications, we probably wouldn't have ended up in this situation. We're discussing possible responsibilities after the 28th," Bolojan explained at Victoria Palace.
