The President of the National Union of Bars of Romania (UNBR), Traian Briciu, stated that he would like justice not to be engulfed by the hatred that dominates society, noting that the "AvocART" exhibition, with artistic creations made by lawyers, organized at the Palace of Justice, proposes something other than division - positive emotion through art.

"Society seems to be full of hatred and ugliness, or, I would like as much as possible that justice and those who work in justice are not engulfed by the hatred that dominates the entire society, because if they are engulfed by this hatred that dominates the entire society, we will be uglier. (...) The Palace of Justice in Bucharest proposes something other than division, conflict or negative emotion, it proposes positive emotion, namely, through art", said Traian Briciu, on Wednesday, in the context in which UNBR and the Association for Dialogue and Solidarity of Lawyers organized "AvocART" at the Palace of Justice.

In turn, Ioan Sas, member of the Superior Council of Magistracy, appreciated that through the unity and collaboration proven at least in recent weeks between magistrates and lawyers, the justice system in Romania has been consolidated.

"We all need to strengthen the independence of justice. "I think we need to also value certain non-legal skills of lawyers," he opined.

Senate Vice President Robert Cazanciuc was of the opinion that the idea of ??presenting in a court is "healthy" and can "somehow relieve the pressure" felt by those who come to this location.

The Director General of the National Press Agency AGERPRES, Claudia Nicolae, appreciated the artists' courage to exhibit their works, which encouraged other lawyers to participate with their creations at "AvocART", the number of exhibits increasing from year to year. In her opinion, the legal profession represents "a form of artistic expression", which links it to journalism.

"Beyond the information that we, both lawyers and journalists, provide, we meet where we find meaning, continuity and emotion. (...) I would like to point out something that I have been emphasizing lately. We are talking more and more about technology and, why not, about robots that might steal our jobs, both of lawyers and journalists. I think that this is where we should point out - even if at a technical level they could be of help to us, empathy, emotion, ethics and morals remain human (...) and we should probably emphasize these aspects more and more.
