Bucharest Fair: traditional products, exhibitions and concerts in Izvor Park

The third edition of the Bucharest Fair starts on Wednesday in Izvor Park, the event giving the autochthonous producers the opportunity to present the annual harvest, 10 to 14 October, informs Creart - the Centre for Creation, Art and Traditions of Bucharest Municipality, the event's organiser in partnership with the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. 

"The feast of the harvest, arts and crafts and Romanian authentic traditions supports the autochthonous producers, providing the necessary space and conditions to present the annual harvest but also the handicraft they have worked on throughout the year. The fair will be inaugurated on 10 October, a date marking, as of last year, the National Day of Romanian agri-food products. The agenda of the autumn feast features a fair and exhibitions of craftsmanship and traditional products, producers from all over the country, the gastronomy corner, but also performances of national folk music and dance," Creart informs in a press release. 

At the fair, open daily between 10:00 - 21:00 hrs, visitors will be able to buy seasonal fruit and vegetables, Romanian products and various cooked dishes: traditional cheeses, traditional meat specialities, fish specialities, homemade bread, sweet cake, pies, gingerbread, kurtos collacs, jams, vegetable hotchpotch, syrups, fruit brandy, homemade cakes, natural products. 

Traditional Romanian ii (Romanian blouse) and costumes, icons, glassware, porcelain and ceramics, household items, wooden sculptures, fabrics, iron decorations, vegetable fiber braids, leather and fur articles, accessories, and accessories with traditional motives can also be purchased . 

In the gastronomic area, visitors are expected to eat local dishes daily, between 10.00 - 21.00, such as sarmalele (cabbage rolls with minced meat), pastrami, grilled chop with green beans, pies, waffles, donuts, boiled corn or must.
