Bucharest Stock Exchange closes Friday's trading session in the red

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Friday's trading session with a decrease on most indices, with the value of transactions totaling 104.6 million lei (20.5 million euros), of which share transactions represented 94.5 million lei (18.5 million euros).

The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BET, which includes the 20 most traded companies listed on the Regulated Market, decreased by 0.08pct, up to 22,842.86 points, while BET-Plus, which shows the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares on the Stock Exchange, closed down 0.07pct.

Moreover, the BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund performance, rose by 0.18pct, while the BET-NG, which measures the performance of 10 energy and utility companies, recorded a decline of 0.28pct.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid stocks, recorded a decline by 0.10pct, while the SIF index, BET-FI, went down 1.01pct.

Furthermore, the BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, dropped 1.34pct.

The most liquid stocks were those of Transgaz, with transactions of 20.14 million lei, followed by TTS - Transport Trade Services, with 8.2 million lei and Hidroelectrica with 8.14 million lei.

The best developments were recorded by Armatura shares (+14.55pct), Prefab (+14.48pct) and Turism, Hoteluri, Restaurante Marea Neagra (+13.59pct).

On the other hand, the most significant decreases were recorded by the shares of Fondul Deschis de Investitii Globinvest Energy &Financials (-7.28pct), Mecanica Ceahlau (-5.66pct) and Longshield Investment Group SA (-2.02pct)
