The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed higher across most indices in Thursday's trading session, with turnover amounting to 59.73 billion RON (11.75 million EUR).
The main BVB index, BET, which tracks the 20 most traded companies listed on the regulated market, rose by 0.79% to 22,139.63 points, while BET-Plus, showing the performance of the 43 most liquid BVB shares, recorded an increase of 0.77%.
The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, covering the 25 most liquid stocks, advanced by 0.91%, and the SIF index, BET-FI, gained 2.48%.
The BET-BK index, a benchmark for investment fund returns, rose 0.70%, while BET-NG, measuring the performance of ten energy and utilities companies, climbed 1.11%.
Conversely, the BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, fell 0.70%.
The most liquid stocks were Romgaz, with trades totalling 8.63 million RON, followed by OMV Petrom with 6.98 million RON, and Banca Transilvania with 6.91 million RON.
The top performers were Armatura (+14.62%), Prefab (+9.76%) and COMCM (+9.62%).
On the other hand, the largest declines were recorded by Societatea de Constructii Napoca (-9.50%), Sinteza (-2.36%) and Rompetrol Rafinare (-2.35%).
