Bucharest Stock Exchange closes higher Monday's session

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed the first session of the week higher on almost all indices, and the value of transactions exceeded 110 million RON (21.77 million euros).

The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BET, which includes the 20 most traded companies listed on the Regulated Market, rose by 1.27%, to 18,537.63 points, and BET-Plus, which shows the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares on the Exchange, closed with gains of 1.25%.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid stocks, recorded an advance of 1.04%, while the SIF index, BET-FI, rose by 0.10%.

The BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund performance, appreciated by 0.33%, and the BET-NG, which measures the performance of ten energy and utility companies, closed up by 0.60%.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, closed down by 0.33%.

The most liquid stocks were those of Banca Transilvania, with transactions of 36.38 million RON, followed by Hidroelectrica shares, with 33.72 million RON, and OMV Petrom, with 5.35 million RON.

The best developments were recorded by Chimcomplex shares (+5.59%), BRD (+3.10%) and Banca Transilvania (+3%).

On the other hand, the most significant decreases were recorded by Sinteza shares (-15%), Carbochim (-5.61%) and Altur (-5%).
