The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed higher on most indices on Wednesday, with the value of transactions falling to 74.94 million RON (14.82 million euros), from 111 million RON (21.96 million euros) in the previous session.
The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BET, which includes the 20 most traded companies listed on the Regulated Market, rose by 0.35%, to 18,586.07 points, while BET-Plus, which shows the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares on the Exchange, closed up by 0.33%.
The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid stocks, recorded an advance of 0.25%, while the SIF index, BET-FI, depreciated by 0.14%.
The BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund performance, appreciated by 0.12%, and BET-NG, which measures the evolution of ten energy and utility companies, closed in the red by 0.14%.
The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, closed with a depreciation of 0.57%.
The most liquid stocks were those of Banca Transilvania, with transactions of 32.19 million RON, followed by Hidroelectrica shares, with 5.24 million RON, and Fondul Proprietatea, with 3.46 million RON.
The best developments were recorded by Sinteza shares (+14.53%), Bermas (+4.03%) and Santierul Naval Orsova (+3.21%).
On the other hand, the most significant decreases were recorded by Condmag shares (-7.69%), Roca Industry Holdingrock1 (-3.46%) and Patria Bank (-2.42%).
