Romanian tennis player Gabriela Ruse will face Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska in the round of 16 of the women's singles even at Linz Open WTA 500 tournament in Austria, prize money EUR 1,049,083, after on Tuesday she defeated seventh-seed American Ann Li, 7-5 4-6 6-3.
Ruse had won on Monday against Britain's Katie Boulter, 7-6 7-6.
Ruse, 28, ranked 87th, and Yastremska, 25, ranked 49th previously met four times and the Romanian won all matches, the last time in January, 6-4 7-5 in the first round of the Australian Open.
