The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Wednesday's trading session higher on most indices, with trades reaching 58.64 billion lei (11.54 million euros).
The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BET, which includes the 20 most traded companies listed on the Regulated Market, appreciated by 0.67%, to 22,139.63 points, while BET-Plus, which shows the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares on the Exchange, recorded an increase of 0.64%.
Also, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid stocks, recorded an advance of 0.67%, and the SIF index, BET-FI, appreciated by 0.50%.
The BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund performance, closed up by 0.54%, while BET-NG, which measures the performance of ten energy and utility companies, rose by 0.90%.
In contrast, the BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, depreciated by 0.12%.
The most liquid stocks were those of Banca Transilvania, with transactions totaling 15.99 million lei, followed by OMV Petrom shares, with 6.02 million lei, and Hidroelectrica - 4.43 million lei.
The best developments were recorded by Electrocontact shares (+14.89%), Armatura (+14.59%) and Societatea de Constructii Napoca (+11.73%).
On the other hand, the most significant decreases were recorded by Electroaparataj shares (-12.78%), COMCM (-8.77%) and Romcab (-5.03%).
