Bucharest Stock Exchange closes lower Monday's session

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Monday's session lower, and the total value of transactions was almost 100 million RON (20.09 million euros), down from 112.9 million RON (22.7 million euros) in the previous session.

The most liquid shares were those of Transilvania Bank, with transactions of 37.6 million RON, followed by the shares of Hidroelectrica - 11.7 million RON and of OMV Petrom - 9.61 million RON.

The main BET index recorded a 1.13% depreciation, reaching 17,872.46 points, and the BET-Plus, which shows the evolution of the most liquid 43 stocks on the Stock Exchange, recorded a 1.10% decline.

The extended blue-chip BET-XT index of the 25 most liquid stocks fell 1.05%, while the SIF index BET-FI stagnated.

The BET-BK index, the yield benchmark of investment funds, lost 0.89% of its value, and the BET-NG, which measures the evolution of the ten energy and utility companies, closed down by 1.64%.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, is the only one that appreciated by 0.04%.

The best developments were registered by UAMT (+11.43%), Mecanica Ceahlau (+9.80%) and Romcab (+9.66%).

On the other hand, the most important decreases were recorded by the shares of Energopetrol Company (-12.71%), Antibiotice (-3.01%) and Armatura (-2.91%).
