Bucharest Stock Exchange closes lower Thursday's session

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Thursday lower on almost all indices, with total trading of 100.683 million lei (19.78 million euros), of which share transactions represented 87.68 million lei (17.23 million euros).

The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BET, which includes the 20 most traded companies listed on the Regulated Market, depreciated by 0.27%, to 23,137.29 points, while BET-Plus, which shows the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares on the Exchange, closed down by 0.26%.

Also, the BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund performance, closed down 0.54%, and the BET-NG, which measures the performance of ten energy and utility companies, fell 0.22%.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid stocks, fell 0.35%, while the SIF index, BET-FI, closed down 1.07%.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, gained 0.09%.

The most liquid stocks were those of OMV Petrom, with transactions of 24.95 million lei, followed by shares of Banca Transilvania - 14.15 million lei, and those of the One United Properties Open-Ended Investment Fund - 6.68 million lei.

At the same time, the best developments were recorded by shares of Armatura (+13.33%), Bittnet Systems (+9.49%) and Carbochim (+3.81%).

The most significant decreases were recorded by shares of Romcab (-5.23%), MF Capital (-4.95%) and Societatea de Constructii Napoca (-3.75%).
