Bucharest Stock Exchange closes lower, with 64.3 million RON in trades

The Bucharest Stock Exchange closed lower Monday's trading session, with trading of 64.339 million RON (12.930 million euros).

The most liquid stocks were those of Banca Transilvania, with 10.289 million RON traded, followed by OMV Petrom shares, with 4.767 million RON, and BRD - Groupe Societe Generale, with 4.507 million RON.

The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BET, which includes the 20 most traded companies listed on the Regulated Market, depreciated by 0.50%, to 16,977.69 points, and BET-Plus, which shows the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares, closed with a decrease of 0.48%.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid stocks, recorded a decline of 0.55%, while the SIF index, BET-FI, closed down by 0.91%.

The BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund performance, fell by 0.73%, while the BET-NG index, which measures the performance of ten energy and utility companies, closed down by 0.67%.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, fell by 1.62%.

The best developments were recorded by the shares of Romcab (+14.81%), Sinteza (+14.39%) and Mecanica Fina (+11.70%).

On the other hand, the most significant decreases were recorded by the shares of the Electrocontact Industrial Group (-14.13%), Societatea de Constructii Napoca (-13.92%) and Altur (-4.90%). AGERPRES
