Bucharest Stock Exchange closes lower

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Thursday's trading session lower on most of the indices, with a total trading value of 79.89 million lei (16.05 million euros).

The most liquid shares were those of Banca Transilvania, with transactions of 21.39 million lei, followed by Romgaz shares - 7.61 million lei and Transport Trade Services - 6.01 million lei.

The main BET index recorded a 1.14% depreciation, reaching 17,562.27 points, while the BET-Plus, which shows the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares on the Stock Exchange, declined 1.06%.

The BET-XT blue-chip broad index of the 25 most liquid stocks closed down 1.05%, while the SIF index, BET-FI appreciated 0.40%.

On the other hand, the BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund returns, lost 0.64% of its value, while the BET-NG, which measures the performance of the ten energy and utilities companies, closed down 1.71%.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies in the AeRO market, rose 0.07%.

The best performances were recorded by Mecanica Fina (+9.24%), Condmag (+8.33%) and COMCM Constanta (+6.47%).

On the other hand, the most important decreases were recorded by UCM Resita (-14,57%), SIF Hoteluri (-12,14%) and Armatura (-10,71%).
