The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Tuesday's trading session down, and the total value of transactions was 115.6 million lei (23.24 million euros), up more than 15% compared to the previous session.
The most liquid securities were those of Banca Transilvania, with transactions of 27.38 million lei, followed by OMV Petrom shares - 22.81 million lei and Hidroelectrica - 15.79 million lei.
The main BET index depreciated 0.82% to 17,725.07 points and the BET-Plus, which shows the performance of the 43 most liquid stocks on the stock market, declined 0.87%.
The BET-XT blue-chip broad index, of the 25 most liquid stocks, was down 0.60%, while the SIF index, BET-FI, was down 0.80%.
The BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund returns, lost 0.22% of its value, while the BET-NG, which measures the performance of ten energy and utility companies, was the only one to close up 0.40%.
The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, depreciated by 0.39%.
The best performances were recorded by the shares of Societatea de Constructii Napoca (+13.75%), SIF Hoteluri (+9.90%) and Armatura (+7%).
On the other hand, the most important decreases were recorded by Prebet (13.11%), Mecanica Ceahlau (-8.93%) and Santierul Naval Orsova (-6.11%).
