The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Wednesday's trading session with increases of over 1% on almost all indices, and 60.26 million RON (12.13 million EUR) worth of transactions.
Stock transactions exceeded 44.13 million RON (9.08 million EUR), and the most liquid shares were those of Banca Transilvania - 8.30 million RON, followed by the shares of OMV Petrom, with transactions amounting to 6.24 million RON, and of Aquila Part Prod Com - 4.75 million RON.
The main BET index, which shows the evolution of the 20 most liquid companies, went up by 1.26%, to 17,394.91 points, while the BET-Plus index which shows the evolution of the top liquid 43 shares scored an advance of 1.13%.
Also, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT of the top-liquid 25 issuers closed 1.280% higher, while the BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies closed up 0.98%.
The return benchmark index for stock investment funds BET-BK increased by 1.43%, and the sectoral energy and related utilities index BET-NG closed 1.10% higher.
The BET AeRO index of the 20 representative companies on the AeRO market rose 0.36%.
According to BVB information, the biggest increases in the value of shares were recorded by Sinteza (+14.47%), Mecanica Ceahlau (+9.90%) and TTS (Transport Trade Services) (+4.82%)
Conversely, the issuers on a significant downward trend were Bermas (-6.71%), Carbochim (-4.67%) and Promateris (-2.67%).
