Bucharest Stock Exchange closes Wednesday's trading session higher

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Wednesday's session higher, with trading of 62.3 million RON (12.28 million EUR).

The most liquid stocks were those of Banca Transilvania, with transactions of 8.69 million RON, followed by OMV Petrom shares, with 3.41 million RON and Electrica, with 3.4 million RON.

The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BET, which includes the 20 most traded companies listed on the Regulated Market, increased by 0.77pct, to 20,491.26 points, while BET-Plus, which shows the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares on the Exchange, closed higher by 0.78pct.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid stocks, recorded an advance of 0.76pct, while the SIF index, BET-FI, went up 0.23pct compared to the previous day.

The BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund performance, rose by 1.12pct, while the BET-NG, which measures the performance of ten energy and utility companies, recorded an increase of 0.94pct.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, closed down by 0.19pct.

The best developments were recorded by Arobs Transilvania Software shares (+8.11pct), TTS (+5.68pct) and Simtel Team (+5.05pct).

On the other hand, the most significant decreases were recorded by the shares of SIF Hoteluri (-9.82pct), Artego (-4.17pct) and Electromagnetica (-3.57pct).
