The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) recorded an individual net profit of 7.47 million lei in the first quarter of 2026, while at group level net profit stood at 7.21 million lei, according to the report published by the capital market operator.
At consolidated level, operating revenues increased 70% to 28.11 million lei, driven by intensified trading activity and the growth of settlement revenues. Operating expenses rose 11% to 19.87 million lei, mainly as a result of staff expansion and salary adjustments.
Under these conditions, the group's operating profit reached 8.24 million lei, compared with a loss of 1.31 million lei in the same period last year, while the financial result contributed 1.23 million lei, mainly from interest income.
At individual level, BVB's operating revenues doubled to 15.98 million lei, while operating profit rose to 8.64 million lei, more than seven times higher than in the first quarter of 2025, supported by higher liquidity and increased investor interest.
