Bucharest's Sector 4 mayor Daniel Baluta declared on Tuesday that he is considering very carefully about running for the position of general mayor of Bucharest, noting that the capital city needs a coherent program.
"I am in a period in which I am thinking very carefully about this idea and I am convinced that in the shortest possible time I will reach a conclusion and express it publicly. (...) After there is an ordinance, a Government decision in this regard, together with an associated calendar, together with my colleagues we will be able to decide whether to run or not", Baluta told a Tuesday's press conference.
He highlighted that Bucharest needs a coherent program, people who know its problems and have achieved results.
"I don't think we need superheroes, I don't think we need people who can't possibly know the specifics of this place so well, (...) it's more important to solve the problems than to fight for positions. This is what I believe and I am convinced that, in the coming days, next week, important clarifications will be made in this direction", explained Daniel Baluta.
