The budget deficit stood at 2.28% of GDP after the first three months of 2025, compared to 2.04% of GDP in the same period last year, according to data published on Friday by the Ministry of Finance
"The execution of the general consolidated budget in the first three months of 2025 ended with a deficit of 43.66 billion RON, respectively 2.28% of GDP compared to the deficit of 35.88 billion RON, respectively 2.04% of GDP for the three months of 2024", according to the document published by the Ministry of Finance.
After the first two months of this year, the deficit had been 30.24 billion RON, respectively 1.58% of GDP.
