The interim mayor of the capital, Stelian Bujduveanu, specifies that road maintenance and repair work has been intensified on the main arteries of the city.
These are: Gheorghe Magheru blvd., Nicolae Balcescu blvd., I.C. Bratianu blvd., Metalurgiei blvd., Marasesti blvd., Theodor Pallady blvd., Corneliu Coposu blvd., as well as in Piata Victoriei, Piata Unirii, on st. Nicolae Titulescu, Blvd. Regele Mihai I al României, Blvd. Basarabia, Calea Vitan and Mihai Bravu, agerpres reports.
"In the Old Center, the areas with cubic stone were remediated, and the next stage aims at interventions on the areas with granite pavement on 21 streets, for a safe and stable pedestrian route. Road markings were redone in: Arc de Triumf Square, Calea Victoriei, Nicolae Titulescu Street, Regele Mihai I Boulevard, Gheorghe Magheru Boulevard, Nicolae Balcescu Boulevard, Turda Street, Schitu Magureanu Boulevard, Colentina Street, Popa Nan Street, Matei Voievod Street, etc., for visibility and order in traffic," the interim mayor wrote on Monday on his Facebook page.
The works include the resurfacing of the pavement on Calea Victoriei, Gheorghe Magheru Blvd., I.C. Bratianu Blvd. and Nicolae Balcescu Blvd. Work is also being carried out on Nicolae Grigorescu Blvd. on the roadway and on Fundeni Road (sidewalks and roadway), and work is being carried out on the sidewalks on Bacani and Academiei Streets.
"This program is part of a consistent approach: regular, coordinated interventions aimed at the proper functioning of the city, every season," Bujduveanu mentioned.
