The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR) and Cleantech Business Club (CBC) Romania intend to conclude a strategic partnership in the field of green energy that will consolidate Romania's position as a regional leader in this industry, with an emphasis on the hydrogen economy, according to a press release from the National Chamber, transmitted to AGERPRES on Tuesday.

"Concrete areas of cooperation could include facilitating partnerships between Romanian and international stakeholders in the cleantech sector, support for local production, innovation and research and development in hydrogen and energy storage technologies, pilot projects to demonstrate the integration of hydrogen and renewable energies in Romania, as well as dialogue on public policies to align national initiatives with the European Green Deal," the quoted source states.

Also, with the help of a Memorandum of Understanding, which will detail the cooperation framework, a joint CCIR - CBC working group can be established to coordinate activities and develop projects, as well as to develop a national roadmap for hydrogen and green energy cluster initiatives.

According to CCIR, the strategic directions in which the collaboration between the two organizations is to be developed are: advancing clean energy technologies, including solar photovoltaics, energy storage systems and clean hydrogen; promoting industrial decarbonization and national energy independence; creating synergies between industry, academia and government through the CCIR and CBC networks and supporting the National Chamber's mission to promote sustainable economic growth and innovation-oriented investments.
