Top-seeded tennis player Cezar Cretu won the USD 15,000 ITF tournament in Oradea, organised by CSM Oradea, on Sunday, after defeating Gabi Adrian Boitan, number three seed, 7-6 (7/4), 6-4.
Cretu (ATP's 397th) needed two hours and 15 minutes to get the victory, and his opponent also contributed with eight double faults. Each player managed six aces.
Boitan (ATP's 387th) and Cretu have never faced each other before on the world tour.
For Cretu this is the sixth ITF title of his career and the first since 2024. With one exception, Antalya (2023), all have been won in Romania.
