The Bucharest City Hall will start the winter holidays on Saturday, with the opening of the Christmas Market in Constitution Square, inform Agerpres.
Also on Saturday, the winter season lights will be turned on and the Bucharest Downtown Christmas Market in University Square will begin, according to a press release sent on Wednesday by the Bucharest Municipality.
Thus, on Saturday, starting at 5:00 p.m., the 18th edition of the Christmas Market in Constitution Square opens, the "biggest event" in Romania dedicated to the winter holidays, organized by the Bucharest City Hall, through CREART.
"A true cultural and tourist landmark, the fair brings together the Bucharest community and visitors from all over the world, in a festive setting that celebrates the tradition and spirit of Christmas. For 30 days, the Bucharest Christmas Fair welcomes its audience with the tallest ecological Christmas tree in the country, 'Santa's House', a Ferris wheel, a two-story carousel, theatre shows and many attractions for children", the Bucharest City Hall informs.
The fair will feature over 120 booths with culinary delights and artisanal products. The artistic program will complement the atmosphere in Constitution Square, with shows of customs and traditions, carols and concerts.
Also on Saturday, from 6:00 p.m., the festive lighting in the Capital will be switched on from Constitution Square.
On November 29, the municipality, through CREART, in partnership with FoodTruck Festival, will open the second Christmas fair of Bucharest, in University Square.
"For 30 days, Kilometer 0 of the city becomes a vibrant space, where the festive spirit intertwines with urban dynamism. Food trucks with international dishes, urban mixes, a carousel, a Christmas tree and light installations will outline the atmosphere of a metropolis in full celebration. Between November 29 and December 28, Bucharest is the Capital of Winter Holidays, the place where tradition and modernity meet, and the magic of Christmas is experienced together. Admission is free", informs the Bucharest City Hall.
