Salvați copiii

he Save the Children Romania organization presented, on Monday, in the Royal Dining Room of the National Art Museum of Romania, the creations of some designers and personalities to be auctioned at the 22nd edition of the Christmas Tree Festival, told Agerpres.

The auction of the 22 Christmas trees, unique creations, will take place on December 9, at the National Art Museum of Romania, in an event dubbed by the organizers "Light the Way to Education".

The funds collected at the Christmas Tree Festival will constitute direct support for the access to education of children in vulnerable socio-economic situations.

"This year, in addition to the children who need us in Romania, there were also those from Ukraine who sought refuge in Romania - of those who came to our country, more than 45 percent are children,", said Gabriela Alexandrescu, executive president of Save the Children Romania.

She specified that more than 144,600 children were helped to go to school in the 21 previous editions.

Calin Stegerean, the general director of the National Art Museum of Romania, sad that the exhibition is special "due to its charitable nature" and is, at the same time, "an example of artistic creativity".

Architect Omid Ghannadi stated that his Christmas tree contains, as in recent years, a hidden story that will be revealed on the evening of the auction. He said that he wants all those children who will benefit from the Save the Children programs to end up rewarding those who support them with their success in life.

For the current edition of the festival, the Christmas trees were created by Stefan Caltia & Mihaela Glavan, Doina Levintza, Miruna Balasa & Endorphin Lab, Arina Bican & Galeria Kulterra, Nicu Bocancea & Floraria Iris, Irina Dragomir, Gheorghe Fikl & artMoves, Lemon Interior Design & Summer Well, Omid Ghannadi & Victor Firan, Simona & Gabriel Gherasim - Gallantique Boutique, Laura Hincu, Ana Mohonea & Maria Mohonea - Architectural Christmas, Dhaniel Nora & Sephora, Adela Parvu, with the support of Dypety.ro & Eglo Romania, Mihai Popescu & Twins Studio, Studium on Space, with the support of Lisa & Co, Iulia Totoianu & Libris.ro, Razvan Luca & UNTOLD, Mariuca Istratescu and the pupils of George Cosbuc High School & Dhaniel Nora. They were joined by Save the Children, with the support of Stefania Mircea.

Funds worth over seven million euros were collected and as many as 144,627 children from poor social backgrounds received help for socio-educational integration through the Christmas Trees Festival, at the previous 21 editions.
