Coast Guard from Türkiye on official visit to Romanian Border Police

A Coast Guard ship from the Republic of Türkiye, which arrived at the Port of Constanta, took part over the past four days in joint demonstration exercises on the Black Sea, aimed at strengthening cooperation with Romania in the area of border security.

Representatives of the Coast Guard within Romania's Inspectorate General of the Border Police (IGPF) reported on Friday that, between 20 and 23 October, the Port of Constanta hosted the visit of the Turkish Coast Guard ship, which came to Romania for an exchange of experience and best practices in maritime surveillance.

"Over the four days, representatives of the Romanian Border Police and the Coast Guard of the Republic of Türkiye carried out joint activities,demonstration exercises at sea and official meetings, aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in border security," the Coast Guard release added.

According to the quoted source, the visit marked a new stage in the Romanian-Turkish partnership, founded on professionalism, trust and international collaboration.
