The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) issued a Code yellow warning on Tuesday for rain and wind gusts, valid Tuesday in Dobrogea, most of Muntenia, the southern half of Moldavia, and the Curvature Carpathians.
These areas will see significant rainfall, with totals of 20 to 25 litres per square metre and isolated amounts up to 40 litres.
Moreover, in the counties of Vrancea, Galati, Buzau, Braila, Ialomita, Calarasi and along the coast, wind gusts of 50 to 70 km/h are expected.
Another Code yellow advisory for wind has been issued for the period 8 October, 23:00 to 9 October, 18:00, covering central and southern Moldavia, eastern Muntenia and Dobrogea. Winds will strengthen to speeds of 50 to 70 km/h, while in the Curvature Carpathians and eastern Southern Carpathians, especially above 1,700 metres, wind gusts of 80 to 90 km/h are expected.
