The Competition Council authorised the transaction by which Premier Energy PLC, Cyprus, intends to take over the wind energy producer Eolica Dobrogea One SA, the competition authority informs on Wednesday.
Premier Energy is a holding company, active, mainly, in the field of production, commercialization and supply of electricity, in the field of commercialization of green certificates, distribution and supply of natural gas.
Premier Renewable Invest Co, part of the Premier Energy group, is a company established for the purpose of acquiring Eolica and its subsequent operation.
Eolica Dobrogea One is a wind power producer and operates a park with an installed capacity of 80 MW, in Mihai Viteazu rural town, Constanta county.
Following the analysis, the Competition Council found that this operation does not raise significant obstacles to effective competition on the Romanian market and that there are no serious doubts regarding its compatibility with a normal competitive environment.
The decision will be published on the website of the national competition authority, after the removal of confidential information, the same source mentions.
