The minister of Internal Affairs, Catalin Predoiu, states that the culprits for the tragedy in Crevedia must be identified in order to answer according to the law, Agerpres reports.
"In a very difficult moment, I begin this message by sending my condolences to the people grieving after the tragic incident in Dambovita County. My thoughts go to the people who were injured, as well as to the brave firefighters-rescuers, policemen and gendarmes, who put the mission at the service of the citizens above their own physical integrity," he wrote on Facebook.
Predoiu reiterated that the European Civil Protection Mechanism was activated to ensure, at the physicians' decision, possible transfers for treatment abroad.
"Together with prime minister Marcel Ciolacu I went to the Floreasca and Bagdasar hospitals, where the wounded were transported. I immediately operationalized the crisis cell at the ministry and I will continue to pay attention and follow the evolution of the situation until the end," added Predoiu.
The minister of the Interior thanked the firefighters-rescuers, the policemen and the gendarmes who ensured the necessary measures to complete the intervention and limit the effects of the explosions and the fire.
Prime minister Marcel Ciolacu had announced that the first patients injured in the Crevedia explosions were to be transferred to Brussels on Sunday night, at 3:30.
