In this year's Paris Motor Show edition, Dacia is displaying five models at in one of the most inviting and stylish stands.
The showcased models are Logan MCV, Lodgy Stepway, Sandero, Sandero Stepway and Duster, with the latest including the new 1.3 TCe petrol engine introduced in Paris.
The Dacia stand, which resembles a university auditorium, has become a main attraction for many journalists during the two days when the Paris Motor Show is open to the media only.
"It's a new stand concept that we launched in Frankfurt in 2017 at the Frankfurt Motor Show for the released of the new Duster. We changed the visual presentation of the stand to show how the brand has evolved. This is a more enticing stand with wooden steps, different from what others have, allowing visitors to look from different angles at what we are displaying," Renault Group Global Motor Show manager Freddie Favre told AGERPRES.
He explained that new materials were used, especially wood, that make it seem warm, but the elements of modernity, including a giant display on which Dacia models are presented, were not ignored.
"All of these elements have accompanied the evolution of the mark. In addition, we placed the novelty element [the new Duster] at the top of the structure to be seen from a distance," said Favre.
The spaces for welcoming the visitors, hosting roundtables and interviews, as well as technical spaces, have been grouped together in the shape of an amphitheater, thus saving a lot of space.
Dacia's main novelty at the Paris Motor Show is the new 1.3 TCe petrol engine available for the Duster.
This engine features an aluminum engine block made with the use of the new 'Bore Spray Coating' surface treatment technology, which allows for more efficient temperature control, resulting in improved performance and increased use comfort. In order to cut on particle emissions, a FAP particulate filter has been added to the new direct-injection petrol engines.
The engine is available in two versions: 130 HP (96 kW), 5000 rpm and a maximum torque of 240 Nm at 1500 t /min, 5 HP more than the previous generation, and 150 HP(110 kW), 5250 rpm and a maximum torque of 250 Nm at 1600t /min, 25 HP more than the previous generation.
The new petrol engines will be available for the Duster 4x2 model, and for the 4x4 versions by mid-2019.
The Paris Motor Show on Tuesday opened its gates to the media who can visit for two days the stands of the producers displaying at the show organised in the French capital. It will be open to the public October 4-14.
