Financial Intelligence and the Federation of Energy Utility Companies Associations - ACUE are organizing, on Tuesday, the debate on the theme "The role of the energy sector in economic development".

The study "The Economic Impact of Investments in Electricity and Gas Distribution Networks in Romania" will be presented during the event.

"Energy is a catalyst for economic growth, and Romania's reindustrialization needs stable, accessible and environmentally friendly energy resources. Energy infrastructure (electricity and gas networks) requires investments of approximately 1.5 billion euros/year. By stimulating these investments, Romania can achieve an economic impact of up to 10.6 billion euros annually: a very important amount, especially considering the deficits we are currently facing. These investments can increase Romania's attractiveness for investments in strategic sectors, will contribute to alignment with EU strategies and will create the premises for ensuring Romania's energy security," note the organizers.

According to the agenda, the list of those who will be present at the debate will include, among others: Sebastian Burduja - Minister of Energy, George Niculescu - President of the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE), Volker Raffel - President of ACUE, Alexandru Nazare - member of the Board of Directors of the National Bank of Romania, Radu Hanga - President of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, Adrian Comanescu - member of the Board of the Competition Council, Bende Sandor - President of the Committee for Industries and Services of the Chamber of Deputies and Istvan-Lorant Aantal - President of the Committee for Energy, Energy Infrastructure and Mineral Resources of the Senate.
